Demeure À Fleur de Rance was born from the transformation of a former early 20th-century stable. This origin gives it a strong sense of character: the place retains a memory, a texture and a presence that shape its identity.
The renovation respects this historical foundation while opening it up to contemporary uses. Old and new come together in perfect harmony, giving rise to a structured yet warm house. The choice of materials (local stone, wood, traditional concrete, glass and wrought iron) fully contributes to the residence’s unique charm.

Designed according to the principles of bioclimatic architecture, the house optimises its orientation as well as the natural inflow of light and heat, in order to reduce its energy needs. The renovation favours natural, bio-based materials (wood, stone, eco-friendly insulation) selected for their performance and low impact.
This approach guarantees a healthy living environment, consistent comfort in every season and genuine energy efficiency. More than just a technical choice, the bioclimatic approach is fully part of the experience of the place: it establishes lasting wellbeing and roots the residence in a responsible, coherent approach.

Behind this project are Johanne, today the House Host, and Pierre-Yves Lebel, founder of Groupe Lebel Ensemble, which brings together four complementary companies: Label Études, Lebel Agencement, L-Déco and La Demeure À Fleur de Rance.
Self-taught, passionate and endlessly curious, Pierre-Yves Lebel has built, through his commitment and creativity, a group recognised in the fields of construction (design and project management), premium interior design and bespoke kitchens.
His approach, at once creative, human and respectful of the environment, runs through every one of the group’s projects.
With Demeure À Fleur de Rance, the ambition is to offer an elegant, comfortable place to host important life moments. A genuine research and development hub for Groupe Lebel Ensemble, the residence has provided an opportunity to experiment with new approaches to responsible construction, heritage preservation and modular spaces, in order to welcome a wide diversity of guests and events.
